چکیده

We present the star formation activity around emission nebula Sh2-112. At a distance of $\sim2.1$~kpc, this \ion{H}{2} complex, itself 3~pc in radius, is illuminated by massive (O8\,V) BD$+$45\,3216. The associated molecular cloud extends angular scales $2\fdg0\times0\fdg83$, corresponding to linear sizes 73~pc 30~pc, along Galactic longitude. high-resolution ($30\arcsec$) extinction map reveals chain dust clumps aligned with filament-like structure an average $A_{V} \sim 2.78$~mag, varying up maximum $\sim17$~mag. Our analysis led identification rich population ($\sim 500$) young (average age $\sim 1$~Myr) stars, plus numerous number 350$) H$\alpha$ emitters, spatially correlated filamentary clouds. Located near edge cloud, luminous BD$+$45\,3216 has created arc-like pattern as ionizing radiation encounters dense gas, forming blister-shaped morphology. found three distinct stellar groups, all coincident relatively parts signifying ongoing formation. Moreover, filament (excitation temperature 10$~K) traced CO isotopologues and extending nearly 80$~pc devoid ionized gas except at cores $\sim$ 28--32~K) wherein significant excited OB stars (dynamical 0.18--1.0~Myr) pertains. radial velocity dynamic (median -3.65$~km~s$^{-1}$) main filament, increasing from east west, features mass flow form stars/clusters central hubs.

Shapes of Molecular Cloud Cores and the Filamentary Mode of Star Formation

Using recent dust continuum data, we generate the intrinsic ellipticity distribution of dense, starless molecular cloud cores. Under the hypothesis that the cores are all either oblate or prolate randomly-oriented spheroids, we show that a satisfactory fit to observations can be obtained with a gaussian prolate distribution having a mean intrinsic axis ratio of 0.54. Further, we show that corre...

Star Formation Efficiencies and Star Cluster Formation

Starbursts produce large numbers of Young Star Clusters (YSCs). Multi-color photometry in combination with a dedicated SED analysis tool allows to derive ages, metallicities, EB−V, and masses including 1σ uncertainties for individual clusters and, hence, mass functions for YSC systems. The mass function, known to be Gaussian for old Globular Cluster (GC) systems, is still controversial for YSC ...

Star Formation in the Northern Cloud Complex of NGC 2264

We have made continuum and spectral line observations of several outflow sources in the Mon OB1 dark cloud (NGC 2264) using the Heinrich Hertz Telescope (HHT) and ARO 12m millimeter-wave telescope. This study explores the kinematics and outflow energetics of the young stellar systems observed and assesses the impact star formation is having on the surrounding cloud environment. Our data set inc...

Cluster formation versus star formation rates around six regions in the Large Magellanic Cloud

The stellar population and star clusters around six regions in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) are studied to understand the correlation between star formation and cluster formation rates. We used the stellar data base of the OGLE II LMC survey and the star cluster catalogues. The observed distributions of stellar density in the colour−magnitude diagrams (CMDs) were compared with synthetic one...

Cluster formation versus star formation around six regions in the Large Magellanic Cloud

We studied the stellar population and star clusters around six regions in the Large Magellanic Cloud (LMC) in order to understand the correlation between star formation and cluster formation episodes. We used the stellar data base of the OGLE II LMC survey and the star cluster catalogues. The analysis of the colourmagnitude diagrams (CMDs) were used to estimate the ages of the stellar populatio...
